We are thrilled to announce that Clayton will host Newbery Medal-winning and #1 New York Times bestselling author Katherine Applegate on March 23! Applegate has written over 150 books, including “The One and Only” series, Wishtree, Crenshaw, the Endling series, the Roscoe Riley Rules chapter books series, and the Animorphs series. Her books are full of both heart and laughter and offer an excellent conversation springboard for the whole family.
BookPeople is sponsoring this event, and our support helps bring authors to Austin schools. Applegate will be sharing her latest book, The Littlest Elephant - a picture book adaptation of The One and Only Ruby. Visit BookPeople’s event website to purchase a copy of the picture book or the original chapter book. Books will be signed by Applegate (but not personalized) and Mrs. Sposeep will distribute them after the event.
